The Irishman: Lead Actress Anna Paquin Finally Opens Up On Having Only ONE LINE In The Entire Movie
Martin Scorsese's The Irishman is making it to the headlines every day. The most important discussion revolving around this film is about the female character played by Anna Paquin having barely 10 mins of screentime and one line dialogue in the complete 3 and a half-hour-long film. The Irishman stars stalwarts like Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci in pivotal roles and it is just an honour to be a part of this project. While Martin had spoken about the actress's one-line role in the film, Anna Paquin seems fine with it.

A few days back, she took to Twitter to revert to a report that stated that she was forced to be a part of this film. However, she cleared the air and stated that she auditioned for it and that she is proud to have a role in The Irishman even though it means having 10 mins part. She wrote, "Nope, nobody was doing any ‘ordering. I auditioned for the privilege of joining the incredible cast of ‘The Irishman’ and I’m incredibly proud to get to be a part of this film."

As stated, many are disappointed with her lack of lines in The Irishman, a Twitter user wrote, "The Irishman has four more scenes of Al Pacino eating ice cream than it does of Anna Paquin delivering lines." At New York’s DGA Theatre last month, Scorsese was shared that Anna has only one line in the film and said, "There’s something you can’t talk about. She knows it. She knows who she is. He knows she knows. Even when she’s sitting there and the police are talking about Joey Gallo being [murdered.] ‘A lone gunman walked in…’ and you see she’s looking at him," as reported by Esquire.
